These two birds were practically jumping for joy after they made this quick getaway.
They leapt to flight when a hungry Golden Jackal went after them in a snowy ambush.
It was a close shave for the lucky birds with the jackal only feet behind them as they took off.
“I was glad just to be able to photograph a jackal.
“But suddenly he rushed towards the magpies. These birds are not the usual prey for the jackals and I am pretty sure the jackal was not going to chase them.
“I just had a feeling that the magpies provoked the jackal for some reason. I would say the magpies just made the jackal mad just with their presence.
“And he looked really angry. There was a moment when it seemed the jackal would grasp the bird – but the birds are quite fast and cautious and this time they were lucky enough to escape
“I am fond of wildlife photography and this was a usual shooting – I was lucky to see a golden jackal and actually I did not expect any action shots.
“And the jackal relaxed just after the birds disappeared from his sight.
“Of course I feel happy I saw this action and have been able to photograph and make some descent shots.”
The fog had enchanted everything around this november day and designed pictures in all directions. The photo was taken just under Boyana's waterfall, Vitosha mountain. Panorama of 3 horizontal frames. Also used CPL filter.
The picture was taken in Berlin, Germany in July 2018. I went to Berlin with a clear idea for a few shots that I wanted to make, but how often happens with street photography, my best shots were the ones that I never planned. I went early in the morning in the heart of the city with the idea to combine the modern architecture with the passing people somehow, luckily enough there was a group of dancers performing near the iconic Marie Elisabeth Luders Haus. I had the perfect combination and took a few pictures, without the performers even noticing me as I was on the opposite bank of the river which passes next to the building. I chose four of those pictures for a short story called "States of Mind", this is the second image from the series.

This is a photo from our session with Teodora, I made that photo in 2012 and it was a improvisation in a book store in our home town Varna ( Bulgaria ). I`ve asked the manager of the store to shot there and that photo take a 20 minute. I told to take different books and just hold for a second on a different ways, after that I work two weeks on that photo :)
I knew before I arrived here that I wanted to shoot this arch, I guess everyone does.
It was a vacation we took for my birthday, but I knew from the previous evening scouting and shooting I had to see this place at sunrise. Now, I don't have filters to make controlling the light easier! We had to get up at 5am on the the morning of my birthday and walk to these rocks in the dark, only a hiking light leading the way. Setting up was tough, it was pretty much black dark still, but I knew once that light started to rise my time was limited.
I think in this shot I captured what I had always imagined I had wanted to since seeing this place, The crashing water turned calm, coupled with the sky painted by the sunrise streaming with clouds racing over the sea, and the harsh rocks left beautiful with the first light of the morning as the sun rose from the Black Sea.
On a difficult and dangerous road I climbed up the hill over the city with my mobile phone and a tripod in the backpack. In front of me was a dreamed sight and I sealed the beauty of my hometown :)

Kukeri (Bulgarian: кукери; singular: kuker, кукер) are elaborately costumed Bulgarian men who perform traditional rituals intended to scare away evil spirits. Closely related traditions are found throughout the Balkans and Greece (including Romania and the Pontus). The costumes cover most of the body and include decorated wooden masks of animals (sometimes double-faced) and large bells attached to the belt. Around New Year and before Lent, the kukeri walk and dance through villages to scare away evil spirits with their costumes and the sound of their bells. They are also believed to provide a good harvest, health, and happiness to the village during the year.
