I met this 85 yrs old lady while i was traveling in a small village of Nepal. I saw her near her small hut where she was looking after some cows and sheeps. I was amazed at her working capability despite of her age. After a short conversation i came to know that she was alone and working hard for her daily life. During the conversation with her, she covered her face and that moment i captured this snap, letting one eye opened and one closed.
I love the minimal aspect , so the lining and the glass were beautiful. And , her looking from that window , added a flavor . What i specially liked is how her dress color got matched with the colors of yellow and red on the glass .
The Nepalese celebrate spring and the New Year by throwing vermilion powder over each other during the Biska: Jatra(Sindoor Jatra) Festival. During the festival revelers are using Traditional Instrument(Dhime and Bhusya) for a very pleasing and entertaining rhythmic music and enjoying themselves.
I took this photo while I was travelling to Gufa Pokhari... He was sitting nearby the Door and enjoying the view, the beautiful light falling on his face which when I saw... I couldn't resist myself from taking this beautiful Photograph.
She is a 94 years old lady living alone in a small room. She is lively enough to do all her daily routines .
Here in the picture she is studying Sanskrit and trying to depart the knowledge she posses.
She can recite the mantras and slokes without looking at the books. She always repeats ,"if my father had allowed me to go to school". Which is on of the biggest regret of her life.
He is my grandfather, the time has made him more and more mature and has been more decent and quieter with time. He is more lonely than ever having gone through all the phases in life.
The only thought he has and always wishes for is only of his family to be happy and be settled well before he is dead, he always has that decent and calmness in his eyes with a lot of desires in his heart and mind for his family. He the one is so selfless now and yes this is the graph of life that every human being goes through its the only time that a human being stops thinking about themselves and thinks completely for others. Finally, at old age one understands no one is going to take anything they were running for their entire life.
I met her in oldage home in Pashupatinath, Nepal. She has been there for more than 15years. Despite of having anyone, She is still energetic, talks really well and always welcome the visitors with a warm heart. Her smile will never fade away.
- The rating of photographers by countries and cities is based on the three best photos of the author and their relative position in each separate nomination. Rating in the nomination "Mobile Photography" is taken into account to a lesser extent for rating formation. The list shows one photo of the author with the best rating.
- Only those photos have been published in the list that passed the second stage of voting.
More recently, we have made an improvement and now we have a new feature - "Series uploading." Even now, you can download from 3 to 10 photos in the series, united by a common idea. Voting for the series will take place separately from other series in their nominations. vote principle remains the same as for single photos. At the moment, series uploading is available for nominations: "Children's Photography", "Wild Animals", "Staged Photography" and "Reportage photo". This feature is available for any improved account.
