I was on a nature trail near Karjat to click some macro images in the rains last June.. I spotted a Macrochlamys which are considered pests by farmers as it destroys crops. After clicking a few images, I realized it had a translucent shell and shone when light fell on it. It glowed like a jewel when backlit. So, I backlit the snail with a flashlight and then started clicking. The biggest challenge was to get the background black with the snail glowing at the same time. Underexposing the shot worked and after hours of trials I got a series of shots I desired. The design on its shell reminded me of ancient scriptures long forgotten.
Clicked on one of the national highways in India, while travelling. Everyday people from small villages take all the risk to travel on top of the vehicle to earn their livelihood in the city. I loved the hues of the sky , the unsuspecting subjects and the overall " candidness" of this journey.

A Rohingya refugee reacts while holding his dead son after crossing the Naf river from Myanmar into Bangladesh in Whaikhyang on October 9, 2017. A top UN official said on October 7 Bangladesh's plan to build the world's biggest refugee camp for 800,000-plus Rohingya Muslims was dangerous because overcrowding could heighten the risks of deadly diseases spreading quickly. The arrival of more than half a million Rohingya refugees who have fled an army crackdown in Myanmar's troubled Rakhine state since August 25, 2017 has put an immense strain on already packed camps in Bangladesh.
India is a religious country.
Here some old traditions have been running for years. There are plenty of Yatras,Urus, and Jallosh celebrations especially during the new moon and full moon.

Lioness was protecting her cub sitting on the mount when the safari jeep stop & starting taking the pictures of the cub.
The cub was very curious with the photographers taking the pictures. But the mother was walking around the cub as a protection. The light was less only wanted the cub in focus & mother fad in the background. The sun was also about to set. I purposly increased the shutter speed & increase the exposure by 1 stop to get the cub nicely expose & mother dark.
The head on shot of female tiger cub captured at Bandhavgarh tiger reserve, MP, India.
It is pleasure to see fearless wild animals in their natural habitat and when you get to make an eye to eye contact with an animal like tiger..there are no words to describe that experience.
This was shot while we ending our photowalk in a place called Bhandup Pumping Station in Mumbai,India. We were almost ending the trail and while we were walking I spotted this bee hovering over the flower . It was just around the flower hovering for couple of minutes. Till then i had packed my flash and kept in the bag. All of sudden it sat on the flower and flew again. With no time to get the flash out and set things . I though lets wait and let the bee settle . After around 15-20 mins of wait it sat on the flower and I got this shot.

"Today everyone is afraid to express themselves through the newspaper" says Adalatram Jaiswal (right), who has spent almost his entire life selling newspapers in Colaba, Mumbai.
He has been selling newspapers at this same spot in Colaba for more than 35 years and is not at all happy with the Internet.
"The net has created a very big problem for us and now people rarely buy newspapers"
Adalatram has a lot of experience in his field and he feels that the newspapers of today don't show the reality at all. The media is sold and the truth never comes out. He feels that the newspapers have lost their power to express the truth.
- The rating of photographers by countries and cities is based on the three best photos of the author and their relative position in each separate nomination. Rating in the nomination "Mobile Photography" is taken into account to a lesser extent for rating formation. The list shows one photo of the author with the best rating.
- Only those photos have been published in the list that passed the second stage of voting.
More recently, we have made an improvement and now we have a new feature - "Series uploading." Even now, you can download from 3 to 10 photos in the series, united by a common idea. Voting for the series will take place separately from other series in their nominations. vote principle remains the same as for single photos. At the moment, series uploading is available for nominations: "Children's Photography", "Wild Animals", "Staged Photography" and "Reportage photo". This feature is available for any improved account.
